Output turning off after a few seconds
-
Hello,
I have a Neuron L203 that has been working for past 7 years without a problem. Recently it started behaving strangely on one relay output. The relay clicks normally and the output switches on at the same time, however there is a quiet buzzing (50Hz) sound present at the same time. As soon as the sound stops, the output switches off whle the relay does not disengage (no click can be heard). Sometimes the output turns back on after random time 10s - 3 minutes and sometimes it just doesn't.
Switching off the relay it clicks again and then I can repeat the process.I know I will probably figure it out after I open it, however, I would like to be prepared so my home is not left in the dark for too long.
Are there any suggestions what could be the problem besides a faulty relay? Can you suggest me what relay model (size) should I buy so I can replace it immediately?
Thanks,
Matic -

Hello, what is connected to the relay? -
3x 18W led lamp. I tried removing the load but the behavior is the same. The relay might be damaged from the inrush current as there are three switchers starting at the same time.
Yesterday I observed that the output on this channel can change when a blinds motor on another channel stops or starts. The issue is not on the controller side as the channel LED is constantly on. The issue is somewhere on the
AC (switching) side. I am betting on a faulty relay, so I have ordered a few to have on stock (found the specifications on your website - kudos for that). -
Hello @oversc0re,
it is very likely as you say, inrush current burnt the relay, you may use external one or some protection to prevent this in future.
