Hi,

I have the same problem. Today there was a power outage and one of my unipi1 SD cards got corrupted as well.
Sometimes it affects just one, but I already had to replace the SD cards at all 4 units at the same time. And it does not matter if it’s a power outage from the DNO or if I just trip my circuit breaker.

I use meanwell power supplies.

Any idea how this can be solved ?

Hi,

Another time I stumble over the AI input and issues with reading 0-10V signals with the unipi1 and Mervis.
Is there any FAQ on this because I couldn’t find an FAQ or exemplary project with Mervis and the old unipi1 (but only with neuron, axion etc…) ?
The reason I ask is the conversion linear by two points. I just replaced my old brightness sensor by a new one which makes me rethink the conversion I am currently using -
X1 0
X2 115000
Y1 0
Y2 100

Where do these 115000 come from. Or better question - what is the correct conversion to transform a 0-10V signal to 0-100% with Mervis and unipi1??

Hi Martin,

'The module (...) is compatible with both Unipi Neuron and Unipi Patron controllers, as well as PLCs from other vendors' - so it's compatible as well with Unipi 1.1 then?

Is there an extension module with only DI planned for the near future?

Guys,

Isn't there any chance to extend the amount of DI to the unipi other than buying more unipis?
In the meantime I have 3 unipis, 1 AO board & 8 relay boards so far. Now I just need more DI to connect additional switches for manual control of the home automation.

Isn't there any elegant, of-the-shelve solution which collects the switch activity locally and communicates it to the unipi through the network (either modbus, sccp or other)?

In the past you had DI extension boards, but more often your products are discontinued, which prevents me to perform an upgrade to Neuron, Axon or other successing PLCs of yours. This makes it difficult for those who supported you from the very beginning...

Any ideas are welcome!

Hi,

since a long time I updated the Mervis IDE version and the OS on the respective Unipi1.1's.
I had 3-5 tasks per Unipi in my solution which worked well, but now after the update the IDE pops an error with having more than 1 task per PLC.

Is that intended or a bug?!

quick question - Is there a function block in Mervis that can convert 4 bits (DI01-04) to an integer? I can only find converters with WORD data type as input where I would need to write the 4 digital in's to an array..

I want to operate a 4x4 switch matrix with the UniPi1

digital IN/OUT 1-4: matrix rows 1-4
digital IN/OUT 5-8: matrix columns 1-4

I want to iterate now through the digital_IO 1-4, so to check the switch status of each row by reading digital_IO 5-8.

My simple question is: how to code this in ST??
I mean, how to call the unipi digital_IO using a variable?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone ever tried to build up a communication between a unipi and a raspberry pi?
As I have a lack of digital ins on my unipi I would like to use the raspberry's GPIOs to forward a switch action to the unipi.

I already have two unipis which communicate over sscp, but I have no idea if and how this can be done with the raspberry.

Any ideas?!

Hi,

I just updated my UniPi1.1 devices to the new 1.7OS using Mervis 74371 and recognized that the Analog Out values have been inverted:
formerly int=10.000 meant 0V and int=0 meant 10V
now int=10.000 means 10V and int=0 means 0V

Did this happen by accident?

BTW - is there a way to smoothen the AO changerate so I can get rid of the steps? (I see it in my light when dimming up and down)

I read the same information in my port monitor

only option I see is to check the ports at the router. In Cisco forums they mention to open TCP port 2000, so will try this later on.

system status says for both sscp channels:

I tried it again with the newer runtime, also adjusted the IP setting and simplified the program to an unidirectional communication from PLC2 to PLC1.
The result is: no longer error messages, only fault is that the variable (fromUniPi2) at PLC1 which I want to change via PLC2 is now marked in red. I declared it in the Globals, with and without any namespace but no success. Is there a trick/another fault?
