@havor wel... you could. in case of Neuron, you would be dealing with a warranty voided unit and possible heat issues caused by the new design of RPi4.

@Havor This feature is not supported in Mervis right now... We asked the developers to include such functionality on the Function block level but it is not on their to-do list right now.

Would UniPi not consider, switching over to ODROID-C2 from RP3 as their central unit?

@skorp said in How long are the UniPi 1.1 and its Extension modules gone be supported:

8 channel expander has really small number of selling, we will make Neuron S100 with 2 channels, which should be enough for the major part of our customers.

Would you not consider a Expander unit, ware you can hookup the 4 remaining wires of the RJ45 to be used as free power lines?

Like a 12V + 24V, 5V + 12V or 2x 5V/12V/24V, to power 1Wire sensors and devises, then you don't need of running extra power wires if they need extra power.

Would be handy for things like steering a remote relay whit a DS2405.

Tho i don't know if the 1Wire hub can handle those power lines.

@Havor I do not have any experience with Stepper motors connected via Modbus so I cannot tell... But implementing any TCP or RS485 Modbus device is pretty straight forward in Mervis. You just need to map the registers you wish to read from/write to the Modbus device...

@Havor thats how we do it. Howeve some developers are not interrested in all the extensions since they are doing it for their own needs....

If you find a air pressure sensors with 0-10V output enough precise for your needs than yes, but I cannot recommend you any
