unfortunately, on the UniPi 1.1 series (including Lite version) this feature is not supported now. We will consider adding the feature in the next version of Evok. You should prefer a user-naming (aliasing, labelling...) of selected I/Os in the upper-layer software instead of the API tool.

the port 1880 is port of Node-RED. You need to write to the port of Evok. I would suggest to download image with Node-RED preinstalled, where you will find example with Dashboard palette as well: https://kb.unipi.technology/en:sw:03-3rd-party:nodered

in the neuron image there are a few mistakes in the walkthrough,
1:log is unipi,pass is unipi.technology
2:bash <(curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/node-red/raspbian-deb-package/master/resources/update-nodejs-and-nodered) : this is an old package
3 de demo flow does not work, ik has unknown stuff in it

If you are using Axon or Neuron, use our official image with preinstalled Node-Red https://kb.unipi.technology/en:sw:03-3rd-party:nodered#os_images_with_preinstalled_node-red images for Unipi 1.1 and Lite are coming out soon
