Hi all
I need to add a second Patron PLC (m207) to my project and need to pass the DI and RO from one to another.
I think the only possibility is trough SSCP protocol.
Can you provide some documentation on how to use?
There is the possibility to have only one HMI interface to interact with the 2 PLC?

Neuron vs Patron long term choiceposted in Neuron Series
Hi team,
some years ago I implemented my project with Neuron+Mervis with no issue.Now I'm starting a new project and I see the Patron line is available and also there Mervis is an option.
Which is your suggestion for this new project? which of 2 (Neuron vs Patron) has higher planned longevity?
thanks

@Martin-Kudláček said in node red istance to be interfaced to Mervis PLC:
face from the Node-RED, but we don't have any Node-RED nodes tested
Thanks Martin,
how to spin Modbus TCP on Mervis?

node red istance to be interfaced to Mervis PLCposted in Node-RED
Hi all,
I have a stable Mervis environment with Neuron + several extension. I want use a dedicated node red instance on dedicated HW and finding a way to interface it with Mevis. There is way to read and write Mervis Global Varialbles trough Modus TCP/IP?

Neuron L203 DI not workingposted in Neuron Series
Hi all,
after one year of production working of one L203 with 8 extension module i need to report that some time I strange behavior very difficult to troubleshoot.
The last case was very schematic so i'm able to describe it.
Some DI of L203 (related so push button in my house) stop to work.
I used Mervis debug to see what was wrong and the only I see is that 4 DI of L203 are in FALSE state with red indication.
I don't think it's a software problem but seems an hardware problem.
This time the software reboot do not worked, only solution was a power off and on of L203.
Any suggestion how to solve those strange behavior?
They happen with very low frequency, initially they were once a month but now they are weekly.
Thanks for the support. -
Set ControllerType input of B31_REVERSE_ON_OFF_CONTROL_SEQUENCEposted in Mervis
Re: How to set CONTROLLERTYPE to heating
Hi Martin
I'm againg on the same topic after some months.
I'm not able to set (I'm using an ST program) the value of input "ControlType" of block B31_REVERSE_ON_OFF_CONTROL_SEQUENCE.
I search into help but there is no example of ST program that explain how to set the input.I Tried
PROGRAM B31_TEST
VAR IN1, IN2:REAL;
O1: BOOL;
FB: LIB.CORE.V1_0.B31_REVERSE_ON_OFF_CONTROL_SEQUENCE;
END_VAR
FB(X:=IN1,CONTROLLERTYPE:=COOLING, W:= IN2);
O1:= FB.OUT;
END_PROGRAMbut
i get the error "can not find the object 'COOLING' in the current context"Antonio

How to set CONTROLLERTYPE to heatingposted in Mervis
Hi Team,
I'm developing an exec with ST.
I declare a var as "lib.core.V1_0.B31_Reverse_On_Off_Control_Sequence".
By default it is setted for cooling.
I'm trying to set for heating.
If I use like this:
varname (CONTROLLERTYPE:=heating);
during the build it return the error:"Error Executables Exe_Termo ..... can not find the object 'heating' in the current context"
Can you explain how it work to set the CONTROLLERTYPE into ST?
thanks

RE: zigbee integrationposted in Other Peripherals
Thanks Tomas
so if instead of USB adaptor I use a Modbus to Zigbee gateway I can Zigbee with Mervis as a generic Modbus module mapping manually the register.
Do you have any experience with some Zigbee to Modubus gateway?Antonio

Hi all,
someone has done experience to integrate Neuron with zigbee, like some zigbee to modus gateway?
or do you know if there is a plan to have a biltin integration of zigbee into Neuron?let me know

Same RO at same timeposted in Neuron Series
Hi all,
I've several (total 4) blinds connect to different RO.
I use mervis to have a digital input that activate all the 4 RO at the same time.
Is it safe to activate several RO at the same time or do you suggest to have some delay? I could program so that after the DI the 4 RO are activated with some delay each other.
Let me know your suggestion.

RE: 1-Wire UTP cable color mappingposted in Other Peripherals
Hi Martin,
in my 1wire bus I've 3 HUB and several sensons. Everything is working fine.
Only problem appear when on the last port on my last hub I connected a rj45 splitter
( https://www.unipi.technology/1wire-hub-2-port-p50 ).
After a while I connect the thermometer to this hub it disconnect. (it appears red in mervis)
All RJ45 port are cabled whit pinout TIA-568B and thermometer are cabled as follow:+VCC: blu + blu/white
GND: brown + green/white
1W : green + brown/white.Do I need to use the same schema of connection on the thermometer atteched to 2 port splitter?
let me know if you have suggestion how to troubleshoot the problem.
Thanks

RE: 1-Wire UTP cable color mappingposted in Other Peripherals
Hi Martin,
I followed your indication and all my 5 thermostat are working fine.
I use autodetect and they are mapped as "1W-UniversalAi.1"
I'm able to see the temperature of all of them.
I've another question:
the devices I connected are "SEDtronic 1-Wire sensor variant: U1WTVS", they should measure the humidity too and .
How to read the humidity values?
Seem value VAD and VDD are connected to humidity and intensity of light, but need help to understand how to use them.
thank

1-Wire UTP cable color mappingposted in Other Peripherals
Hi all,
this afternoon I will cable my 1-wire temperature sensor network connecting to 1-wire hub.
I'm referring to this tutorial to prepare the connection to UTP cables. https://www.unipi.technology/tutorial/topology-of-1-wire-network-46What is not clear is the sequence of utp calbe color to use.
UTP cables have 4 twisted pair: orange/white-orange green/white-green blu/white-blu brown/white brown.
Do I need to use a particular color sequence to crimp the cable to RJ45 connector?Let me know
Thanks

I follow the suggestion to set autogen only on needed variables (just DI and DO_w).
I solved the issue.

New Neuron FW v.1.7Betaposted in Mervis
Hi all
I've just updated new FW v.17 on my neuron L203 and first thing I notice is the delay of reaction.
To make a very simple test a create a stupid executable that make one RO = to DI.
Pushing the DI the reaction of RO seems to have some delay.
I don't think it a performance issue of course but seems related to some HW debounce setting of DI.
I trying to search Debouce setting but this variable is not present in this version of FW...
Do you have idea how to improve reaction of DI/RO association?Also in the new FW version I do not found DS_Enable/DS_Toggle/DS_Polarity variable. Do you know how to find them?
thanks

Mervis IDE & OS updateposted in Mervis
Hi all,
I'd like to upgrade my Mervis IDE to new version "Mervis IDE 2.1.3 (74371)".
I know it require on my NEURON the fw update to version "UniPi-Neuron-Mervis-OS-2018-09-14_v1.7-BETA"
The procedure seems easy but I need some clarifications:- do I need to update also X10 and X40 extensions module?
- do I need to remove and reinstall my actual Mervis IDE or I can just upgrade it on my PC
- the project developed on Mervis IDE 2.0.x can be loaded as is in the new 2.1.3 version?
- last question is my curiosity: new FW version 1.7 is compatible with previous IDE 2.0.x?
thank for your feedback.
thanks
Antonio
